Last November we had an amazing couple that came from Canada. They chose to have their pre-wedding photos taken here, in Kyoto. After the bride preparations were completed we headed to Gion for our session. The day was great and we were lucky to have excellent weather.
The atmosphere of the traditional townhouses blended perfectly with the bride’s irouchikake and at the same time the colors of the neighbourhood contrasted beautifully with the Kimono.
The weather, at moments, called for a parasol, which the groom kindly held for his bride.
Gion is one of our most popular locations, as it packs a lot of very traditional Japanese elements in a unique atmosphere that is appreciated by nationals and travelers alike.
If you are thinking about having an outstanding and alternative pre-wedding photo session, please, do consider Kyoto as your destination!
